The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has said it did not allow suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari, who is currently in its custody to receive visitors on his 47th birthday.

On the profile the embattled cop posted on his Facebook page, March 17, 1975 was listed as the day he was born.

A top official of the agency, who preferred not to be named said Abba Kyari, already has access to his family members and lawyers.

“This is different, the agency would definitely not permit visitors to visit him (Kyari) on his birthday or any other celebration. Why would anyone even contemplate doing that.

“This incident called for a sober reflection and partying is not part of it, those entitled to meet him did not include those who may want to come for birthday celebration,” the official said.
