Deputy Director of the cantonment Col Texas Chukuwu, who spoke to newsmen in Jos said the court marshal was still ongoing adding, “as soon as the case is concluded, the report will be forwarded to the military authority for confirmation and then made public.”
Chukwu described the reports as baseless and called on members of the public to disregard it. He also advised newsmen to always check their facts properly before going to press.
The accused soldiers who were from the 3 Armoured Division, Joint Task Force, Maiduguri and Special Task Force, Plateau State, were accused of communicating with Boko Haram members, cowardly behaviour, murder and manslaughter and are presently under going trial.
