No plan to demolish palace, central mosque –Taraba govt

The Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has described as falsehood alleged plans by the government to demolish Takum palace and Central Mosque.

The state Commissioner for Information, Zainab Usman Jalingo, said such allegations were baseless and untrue.

She stated that the  false information was aimed at provoking fear and tension within the community.

“Our commitment to delivering good governance and meaningful development benefits all citizens equally, regardless of their religion or tribe.

“These falsehoods, spread by chaos-mongers, will not distract us. The people of Taraba State are advised to disregard these rumours,” she said.

The commissioner maintained that the state government remained committed to peace, unity, growth, welfare and justice for all.
