Speaking to State House correspondents Tuesday after meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan, Suswam said Kwankwaso’s statements merely confirmed that the APC leaders knew they would not win any election without the support of the PDP.
Kwankwaso had Monday during a courtesy visit on his Kwara State counterpart, Abdulfatah Ahmed, said two PDP governors would soon join the APC.
But Suswam contended that not even a PDP councillor would join the APC, arguing that any group confident of itself would not seek help from an enemy’s camp.
“No PDP governor will go to APC, rather, we’re having people who started PDP who are very strong like the Iroko coming back to join the family that they left. No governor is leaving PDP. We’re going to defeat them roundly. They’re scared. Nobody is going to join them from the PDP, not even a councillor”, Suswam said.
