The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof Florence Obi, has disclosed that her administration will not embark on new capital projects until the ongoing ones are completed.
Inspecting an array of the projects on Wednesday to mark her first year in office, the VC said the institution has the largest ongoing projects in all universities.
She said in the one year she has been at the saddle, she is attracting funds from TETFUND and other agencies to prosecute the projects littered all over the second generation varsity.
Some of the projects, which she assured, will be completed by March 2022, include the Pavilions 1,2,3 with 150 sitting capacity each and conveniences.
Another ongoing project is the massive faculty of law building.
“We have the highest numbers of ongoing projects on varsity campuses since the time of my predecessors. My Administration will endeavour to complete many of them before we can think of new ones.
“I will endeavour to make a mark being the first female VC during my tenure.”
