NNPP vows to sack APC in Katsina, end insecurity

The New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) has inaugurated its gubernatorial campaign in Katsina State, ahead of the March 11, governorship and state assembly elections.

The party’s governorship candidate in the state, Engineer Nura Khalil, was accompanied to the venue of the event by his Kano State counterpart, Abba Kabir Yusuf, popularly known as Abba Gida-Gida. The event was held in Mashi, the headquarters of Mashi LGA.

In his address, Khalil said he and his party were out to salvage the state from insecurity and economic hardship caused by the present administration of APC at both the state and the federal levels.

He said if elected, he would utilise the solar energy in Mashi and other parts of the state to generate power that could earn up to N100bn revenue annually for the state.

Earlier in his address, Yusuf said they were in Katsina to inaugurate the governorship campaign on behalf of the party’s leader and presidential candidate, Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
