New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) Bauchi State chapter has promised to elect it’s candidates for elective positions and will not impose candidates on its members in 2019.
The State Secretary of the Party Mahmood Baba Ma’aji disclosed this in Bauchi Sunday after the collation of the result of the party’s Local Government congress held in the 20 local government areas on Saturday.
He said that the party has conducted the congress successfully and is satisfied with the outcome and it is the first step towards defeating the ruling APC in the state.
"NNPP is a well organised party that is youth driven, that cares with people welfare and is structure base that is capable of removing the incumbent government.
"We have all confidence with the base on ground that is why you see people trooping in to the party on daily basis, so we are prepared to take over government come 2019 Insha Allah,"he said.
The NNPP secretary in Bauchi commended stakeholders, supporters and congress committee members for the conduct of successful congress in 20 LGA.
On his part, the Secretary of the Congress Commitee, Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed confirmed that election was conducted in peaceful manner in the 20 LGAs devoid of rancour.
