The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has inaugurated its campaign council in Gombe State.
Speaking at the inauguration, the gubernatorial candidate of the NNPP, Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, pledged to pay external examination fees for students in the state if elected.
He listed fees to be paid by his administration to include examinations conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC), Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the National Examination Council (NECO).

Mailantarki said the burden of educating Gombe children would be borne by the state government.
He assured that if elected, parents would not pay registration fees for all entry examinations into tertiary institutions.
Mailantarki pledged not only to resuscitate the education sector, but to also invest massively in infrastructure in all sectors.
