Workers of New Nigerian Newspapers have cried out to the Chairman of Northern States Governors Forum, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, to pay staff of the company their accumulated salaries and other benefits.
This was disclosed in a statement jointly signed by Comrade Friday Idoko, Funmi Aderinto, Usman Nasidi and Emmanuel Bello as chairmen and secretaries of the Joint Workers’ Union issued on Wednesday.

According to them, many of their workers had died awaiting their unpaid wages of over 100 months owed by the Northern States Governors Forum.
It could be recalled that the company raised over a billion naira from assets disposed of but are yet to pay the workers their entitlements.
The workers urged the plateau state governor to promptly order the disbursement of the sum to workers of the company to alleviate their hardship.
