The Nigeria National League (NNL) has fined Kebbi United N1m and they will forfeit three points for breaching the rule books in their Matchday three fixture against Green Beret played at the Dogarawa Township Stadium, Zaria, Kaduna.
It was learnt that Kebbi discontinued the game at the 81st minute after holding the game up for nine minutes, an act which contravenes the league’s regulations.

the rule, Kebbi automatically lost the match by three points and three goals in favour of Green Berets according to a statement from the NNL.
Furthermore, the Assistant coach of Kebbi United, Haliru Umar, has been placed on a four (4) match ban for punching the first assistant referee Awoniyi S. on his left eye.
NNL in its summary jurisdiction granted Kebbi United 48 hours right of appeal to the Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation.
Conversely, the league body has urged the management of Green Berets and Kaduna State Football Association to ensure that matches at the Dogarawa Township Stadium are hitch-free.
In a similar vein, NNL has sent a strong letter of warning to the management, coaching crew, players and supporters of EFCC football club of Abuja to stay away from acts of violent conducts at their home ground in Abuja after the reported case of near violence in their last match against Church side, FWC Champions last Friday.
