The Nigeria National League (NNL) has tasked the state football associations with ensuring the remaining matches in the season are played without any hitch, even as the league resumed Saturday.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Operating Officer NNL, Emmanuel Adesanya who further said that matches in the Northern Conference were to be played simultaneously.

It will be recalled that the league was on break for two weeks following an obvious paucity of funds, logistics and the need to properly interface with the Nigeria Referees (Football) Association (NRA) over the umpires and officiating.
While apologizing to the clubs, their teeming supporters and other stakeholders for the inconveniences the break may have caused, NNL has subsequently, rescheduled the last four sets of games to end the league in the Northern and Southern conferences to be played from Saturday 06 August 2022 at designated centres.
“Furthermore, following the AITEO Cup campaign that saw four clubs from the Northern Conference qualify for the round of 16, week 17 A1 and week 21 A2 are hereby placed on hold,” the statement said.
