Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) in Niger State has warned petroleum marketers in the state to desist from hoarding the product or face the wrath of the law.
The Operations Controller, Mr Joshua Madaki, gave the warning during a meeting with the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and Major Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) in Minna.

He said the federal government did not approve the sale of the product above the official price of N165.
Madaki emphasised that Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, has not been deregulated so the agency would not condone any act contrary to the policy of the organisation, adding that selling to black marketers in jerry cans was not allowed.
The state IPMAN Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Ahmed Erena, while responding lamented that marketers bought their product from private depots at the cost of N180 and N190 and could not afford to sell at the approved official price.
