NMA to FG: Provide enabling environment for doctors

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Wednesday urged the Federal Government to provide enabling environment for doctors in order to end strike that has led to suffering and loss of lives.

In a statement signed by its spokesman, Aniekeme Uwah, the association urged the government to also provide state-of- the art equipment and welfare of her members.

He said the NMA had not embarked on any serious strike action in the last 20 years despite the unfavourable working conditions and poor welfare which has led to brain drain in the country.
