The Nigerian Medical Association has urged the federal and state governments as well as local governments to focus on primary healthcare to tackle health challenges in the country.
NMA President Dr Francis Faduyile, said this in Jos, Plateau State, weekend at a two-day conference organized by the Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria.
Faduyile said Nigeria must return to the basics to get its health sector right adding that, “the basics is where we need to get it and nip it in the bud and that is at the primary healthcare level.”
