The President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Zamfara state Dr. Tijjani Sa’idu is dead according to a statement signed by the NMA’s secretary Dr Bature Mannir and made available to newsmen in Gusau.
Dr Saidu, was until his death a consultant at ENT department at the federal medical centre Gusau. He was reported to have died after a road crash involving his vehicle on his way to Gusau from the neighbouring Sokoto state.
His colleague who is also the Medical Director at the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau, Dr Bello Muhammad Kotorkoshi described the deceased as hardworking and brilliant.
" You know he was a surgent at the ENT department and they were only two personnel with that profession at the facility. Now we have lost one and a huge vacuum has been created. We are praying to the almighty Allah to grant him aljannat firdaus.
The late Saidu hailed from Ringim in Jigawa state and his remains would be buried at his home town in accordance with the Islamic rites.
