NJC recommends appointment of four Supreme Court justices, 13 judges

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has recommended the appointment of four new Court of Appeal justices to the Supreme Court, and 13 other justices.

The Court of Appeal justices recommended for appointment are: Justices Adamu Jauro (North East); Justice Emmanuel A. Agim (South South); Justice C. Oseji (South South); and Justice Helen Ogunwumiju (South West).

According to a statement by its Director of Information, Soji Oye, NJC also recommended Justices John Tsoho and Bernedict Kanyip as substantive Chief Judge and President of the Federal High Court and National Industrial Court respectively.
