Pensioners of the defunct NITEL and MTEL have commended the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed and the Executive Secretary of Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Chioma Ejikeme for giving attention to all pensioners in the country.
In a statement Tuesday, the president of the group, Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande, called on pensioners nationwide to continue to support PTAD and the Federal Government.
He said at the Jos 30 June stakeholders’ meeting, PTAD spoke about a directive to compute and compile all outstanding pension liabilities of agencies yet to be settled for the attention of the Ministry of Finance.
“Therefore with the prompt policy of PTAD in addressing pension matters, we strongly believe that PTAD will hopefully make the necessary pension arrears payment within the shortest time once the funds are released,” he added.
