The groups, under the aegis of Arewa Agenda for Sustainable Development and Paradigm Initiative, Northwest Zone, expressed the concern at a press conference held in Kano on Sunday.
Speaking at the conference, Mohammed Dahiru Lawal and Sani Suleiman Sani, the co-conveners of Arewa Agenda and Paradigm Initiative respectively lamented that if the issue was not addressed, the North will be placed at a disadvantage position in accessing digital opportunities which are essential in realising the digital economy.
The groups said with the rising unemployment rate in Nigeria, digital entrepreneurship is yet to be fully exploited by the majority of youths in the region.
