The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), is working towards deploring Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Anambra state.
This was disclosed when the Anambra state Governor Willie Obiano, paid a courtesy visit to the agency in Abuja on Monday.
The Director General NITDA, Mr. Peter Jack said, the agency will study what the state has put on ground towards the setting up of ICT friendly environment and determine how to improve on it. He said, “a committee will be set up comprising the two parties to explore areas of collaboration, adding that NITDA will offer train – the – trainer programme to boost capacity development in the state.”
Earlier, the governor said the state is interested in whatever assistance NITDA would be able to render, adding that his office will send delegation to form the committee with NITDA to work out ways of collaboration.
He added that the state government will make a commitment of N50 million towards youths ICT empowerment in the state.
