The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) is requesting the Jigawa State government’s assistance to establish three new e-border stations within the state.

He said the proposed e-border stations, to be situated in Kumsa, Dangwanki, and Galadi, are intended to enhance monitoring and control of criminal activities and smuggling across the borders.

Usman thanked the state government for its previous support, which has facilitated the NIS’s effective operations.

Governor Namadi expressed his administration’s commitment to supporting the NIS, describing the e-border project as a forward-thinking solution to contemporary security challenges. He advocated for the project’s expansion nationwide and instructed the state c no controller to coordinate with the Secretary to the State Government to ensure the necessary support for the establishment of the additional e-border stations.
