The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has promoted 42 officers and men in Zamfara State.
The comptroller of the service in the state, Muhammad Habib Ghazali, said
at the decoration ceremony yesterday that the development was unprecedented in the history of the command as about 8,000 officers were promoted nationwide.
He said the welfare of officers and men of the service was sacrosanct and all deserving of promotion would get it despite its competitive nature.
The newly promoted officers and men were decorated at the service headquarters in Gusau by the representatives of various security outfits present at the ceremony, namely the Nigeria Police Force , Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Road safety Corps, Nigeria Prison Service, and Nigerian Customs Service.
