NIOB elects new exco

The Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) has elected a new exco to run the affairs of the institute for the next two years.
At a brief ceremony held at the Institute`s office, outgoing president of NIOB  Tunde Lasabi  charged the new exco headed by Tijani B. Shuaib  to continue to participate in matters that project professionalism and ensure that the institute is always on course.
He therefore wished the new exco a successful tenure, saying builders nationwide believed in their ability to deliver. 
In his remarks, the incoming president of the institute,  Tijani B. Shuaib promised to consolidate on the success of the past exco as well as appoint a high powered committee to meet Mr. President, Senate and House leaders and chairman of the Governors Forum, amongst others to ensure the enactment of the building code into law.
The newly elected exco members includes:  Tijani B. Shuaib, national  president, Kennenth Nduka, 1st  vice president, Kunle Awobodu, 2nd vice president, professor Y.D Iza, 3rd vice president and AbdulRazaq A. Alao, general secretary.
Others are Belonwu Chris, assistant general secretary, Jibrin Musa, registrar, Musa Yakubu, publicity secretary, Dr. (Mrs) M. Shwarka, research secretary, F.A Elegbede, treasurer;  A.S Idris, ex-officio, Yusuf Aliyu Dada, ex officio, and Kunle  Olaofe (ex-officio).
