Nine suspected cases of coronavirus in Kano have tested negative to the deadly virus.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa made this known at a news conference in Kano on Friday.
He stated that the state is still free from the dreaded coronavirus pandemic.
He further stated that Kano state government is doing all that it takes in ensuring that, the state stays safe from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The commissioner added that the government is doing everything humanly possible to prevent the emergence of the disease in the state.
He added that, as part of the state emergency response strategy, the state has added the Kwanar Dawaki diagnosis facility as the second isolation centre in the event of a possible outbreak of COVID-19 in the state.
He therefore advised residents to strictly adhere to advise from medical professionals to curtail the spread of the virus in the state.
