NIN: FG dispatches evaluation teams to 36 states, distributes enrolment devices

The federal government has sent out monitoring and evaluation teams across various National Identity Number (NIN) enrolment centres nationwide to ensure smooth running of enrolment and modification exercises.

FG has also approved the distribution of additional enrolment systems to all the 36 states as part of steps to ease NIN enrolment challenges and increase operational capacity.

NIMC Director General /CEO Engr. Abisoye Odusote- Coker, disclosed this on Wednesday.

“The systems have since been installed and in use across all the states and have not only resulted in the reduction of time spent by applicants but has also increased the number of applicants attended to daily”, the statement signed by NIMC’s Head, Corporate Communications, Kayode Adegoke said.

Adegoke said the evaluation team would also ensure strict compliance with her zero tolerance stance against all forms of extortion and unethical practices.

He said Engr Coker-Odusote had emphasized that her administration would not condone extortion of applicants and had since directed that any staff found wanting should be dealt with in line with the provisions of the constitution and extant Public Service Rules.

He said the provision of additional enrolment devices underscores the commitment of the DG/CEO to streamline operations and enhance overall effectiveness
