Nile wins NUGA basketball final as Igoche Mark, Ugboaja, Udoh grace event

Nile University Abuja defeated the University of Lagos in the final of the basketball event at the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) sporting events which were held at the University of Lagos on Friday.

Nile out dunk Unilag 70 – 61 to emerge champions of the basketball event.

Mr Igoche Mark, a factional President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), witnessed the match.

Also present at the event was a factional president of NBBF, Musa Kida; a former NBBF board member, Ejike Ugboaja, Hotcoal Basketball Owner, Ubon Udoh and a former NBA player, Olumide Oyedeji.

Mark arrived at the event amidst cheers and salutations from supporters drawn from basketball players and fans.

He waved at the crowd before being ushered into the court.

“I am here to watch the final between Nile University Abuja and the University of Lagos.

“You know that my core mandate is to develop grassroots basketball, identify talents and nature them.

“This is what the federation under my watch is committed to doing,” Mark stated.
