Nigerite co-operative declares N23.7M dividend

The Nigerite staff multi-purpose co-operative has declared N23.7m as its dividends for over 200 staff members in 2023.

The out gone co-operative president, Mrs Obaidu Theresa, stated this during the 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) while accounting for the financial records of the group under the review of the year 2023.

She described the N23.7m recorded in 2023 as an increase to the dividend recorded in 2022 which stood at N18.3m, adding that the annual surplus grew N29,359,662.71 in 2022 to N38,235,190.67 in 2023 which translate to 30.2 percent increase.

“Our Net Asset worth also grew significantly by 14.2% year on year which shows a positive growth indicator of strong financial standing of our great co-operative. The rest of the financial indicators in the Accounts showed an improved significant performance year on year,” she said.

The newly elected President, Mr. Olanrewaju Kazeem, promised to uphold the tenets of the laws that govern activities of the group.
