The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control yesterday confirmed 30 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total to 373 in the country.
The death toll from the pandemic in Nigeria is now 11. According to the NCDC, “Till date, 373 cases have been confirmed, 99 cases have been discharged and eleven deaths have been recorded in Nigeria.”
Earlier, the NCDC first reported that “19 new cases are reported from five states- Lagos (14), FCT (2), Akwa Ibom (1), Edo (1), Kano (1).”
It later added after 11:00pm on Tuesday night that “Eleven new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Lagos State.”

A Tweet posted on its official Twitter handle: @NCDCgov, reads “As at 11:00 pm, 14th April there are 373 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 99 have been discharged with 11 deaths.
“As at 11:00pm, 14th April, number of states with confirmed cases of #COVID19: 19 + FCT.”
It added that Lagos now has 214 confirmed cases, FCT- 58, Osun- 20, Edo- 15, Oyo- 11, Ogun- 9, Bauchi- 6, Kaduna- 6, Akwa Ibom- 6, Katsina- 5, Kwara- 4, Kano- 4, Ondo- 3, Delta- 3, Enugu- 2, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-2, Benue- 1, Niger- 1 and Anambra- 1.
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” it added.
