Nigerians urged to embrace soya oil for healthy cooking

Nigerians have been urged to embrace soya oil in their cooking for its health benefits, as it does not contain saturated fats, which are considered bad fat that can raise cholesterol levels and increase the risk of heart disease.

According to a statement by Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group, consumers should be more interested in cooking oils that not only provide excellent taste but are packed with health benefits.

“A notable oil in this regard is Golden Terra Soya Oil, renowned for its five times more Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA), Omega-3 and Omega 6 fatty acids.

“PUFA are “good fats” unlike saturated fats, which are generally viewed as “bad fat” because they can raise your cholesterol levels which increases the risk of heart disease.”
