Nigerians urged on unity

Nigerian lecturers and students made the call during a programme tagged “Unity tour” comprising Universiti Utara Malysia (UUM), International Islamic University (IIUM) and University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
They noted that the diversity of Nigeria should be harnessed positively and emphasis should be on those things that unite the nation rather than those that divide it.
They observed that though things are not working as expected in Nigeria, people should not lose hope but come together and rescue the country from impending calamity and return her to the path of glory and greatness.
A lecturer at IIUM, Dr. Adewale Abideen enjoined them not to give up as doing so would spell doom not only for the country and its citizens at home and abroad but the black race and the world.
