A group of women known as Faith Women Fellowship (FWF) International in Benue State has expressed optimism that Nigeria cannot be shredded into pieces.
The group, during its 35th year anniversary in Makurdi, said it believed in one united Nigeria.
Founder of FWF, Evangelist Lydia Idoko, said God was committed to Nigeria and reigned over its affairs, adding that,”Nigeria can’t be divided. It’s an indivisible country. I’m so convinced about that.”
Earlier in his admonition, Justice Steve Adah of the Court of Appeal called on Nigerians to strive harder to uphold the unity of the country as one indivisible nation.
Adah who expressed optimism that Nigeria could not be disintegrated by anyone no matter how much they tried to do so, said the country would eventually overcome its present challenges and urged Nigerians to be nationalistic in their approach to issues.
“We should pray for this country seriously. This country was conceived from inception as a land with great potential. God has ordained this country to be one indivisible entity and no one can dismantle what God has put together. Nigeria is in the mandate and will of God and will so remain.
“It’s not by accident God made us Nigerians. God gave you the father and mother who brought you forth. God ordained this country to be one indivisible country.
“Some of us in this nation are habouring evil people who walk out of our home to go and bomb people, rob and commit crimes. We don’t report them to authorities.
“Please fight for this country. Our leaders cry in their closest for some terrible things happening against this country. We owe our leaders responsibility,” he said.
