The operations and branches of Jaiz Bank now cut across different parts of Nigeria, an indication that more Nigerians are accepting the concept of non-interest banking, the Managing Director of the bank, Alhaji Hassan Usman, said at the weekend in Zaria.
Speaking at the commissioning of Jaiz Training School, Usman said the bank now has branches in Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Ilorin and Lagos, aside the ones in other parts of the country.
He added; “In fact, in Lagos alone, we have four branches and we are planning to venture into the eastern region. We are targeting Enugu, Owerri, Onisha and Aba. We are duly licensed to be a national bank and we are listed in the Nigerian Stock Exchange as a tier one commercial bank.
He said the training school was named after the chairman of the bank, Alhaji Umar Mutallab, who donated the facility to assist the bank in training its staff to stand modern challenges.
Represented by the Deputy Managing Director, Alhaji Mahe Abubakar, Usman said the training school is an important factor in achieving the goals of the bank.
