The co-founder of the Youth Entrepreneurship Support Hub (YESHUB), Ismail Bello was among the 150 young participants from 60 countries at the recent Global Youth Employment Forum in Abuja.
The Forum organized by International Labour Organization (ILO) with support from the Federal Government of Nigeria had the theme: Today and Tomorrow with decent jobs for Youth.
Speaking on the side-lines, he said: “An open market for youth employment solutions was also featured such that 17 participants from across the world exhibited best practices, new ideas and broadcast recent achievements on youth employability and entrepreneurship.”
He said his work at YESHUB was also selected for exhibition. “I exhibited ‘What Youth and Women Want: Voices for Change’ and I presented strategies that youth and women can raise their voice to overcome discrimination, developing their potentials, enhancing their leadership skills in order to promote inclusion and strengthen their engagement into democracy, political process, decision making and governance in Nigeria.”
Bello also said he got feedbacks from the foreign participants who are willing to partner and collaborate with YESHUB to actualize the project.
“We also came up with key deliberations and recommendation that will redefine access to youth employment and entrepreneurship across the World,” he noted.
