The team leader, Akan Donald told Daily Trust about the objectives of the contest. He said: “We got information on this competition through some colleagues. We have introduced the project to the judges and have answered their questions. We are confident that this project is going to sell, and I hope that after the competition it can help other students including foreign students come to China.”

He also noted that the participants are passionate about improving global living standards and are striving to meet others with like minds.

The 5th China Internet Plus competition, which held between October 12 and 15, had over 8,000 participants from 800 colleges and universities.

There were four award sections including Higher Education Track, Vocational Education Track, International Track and Germination Track (open for high school students).

Since June 2019, the programme has attracted 4.57 million graduates and 1.09m teams from 124 countries and regions on five continents to engage in the competition.
