The Consul-General of the Nigerian Consulate in Shanghai, China, Chimezie Okeoma Ogu, has appealed that the bilateral cooperation between both countries be expanded to include transfer of Chinese technological knowledge and skills to Nigerian youths.
Ogu made the appeal when he paid a courtesy call on Zing Ming, Vice Mayor, Shanghai Municipal Government, in her office, according to a statement made available to Daily Trust.

The statement quoted the envoy as calling on the Chinese government to structure its cooperation frameworks in such a manner that would encourage the transfer of technology to Nigerians.
According to him, the transfer of technical knowledge to Nigerians is essential to Nigeria’s industrialization and economic development.
The envoy also asked his host to grant Nigerian carrier, Air Peace approval to fly into the Shanghai airport.
