Nigerian Army holds field training exercise

The Nigerian Army is to commence a nine-day Field Training Exercise (FTX) in Kaduna and Bauchi states from today to Wednesday, April 20, 2016, a statement from army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman, said yesterday.
He said the exercise was part of training activities scheduled to mark the 2016 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL).
He added that the exercise would start with the massing up of troops in Bauchi and Kachia, Kaduna State and later culminate in a simulation exercise at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji.
He advised members of the public not to panic on sighting routine convoy of troops along the Kaduna-Kachia-Bauchi road and the general area of Alkaderi Forest in Bauchi State, saying citizens should go about their normal activities during the period.
