There is an appreciable turn out of voters in Jigawa state as elections commenced. The atmosphere is generally calm.
Registered voters have started casting their ballots in Madobi Gabas and Madobi Yamma polling units in Dutse local government area of the state when our correspondent visited.
Voters were seen in long queues waiting to take their turn to vote.
