The governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos state, Jimi Agbaje and his wife, Abiola, voted around 11:20am at his unit at Takorade /Omidiora junction Off Oluwole Street, Apapa.
The PDP candidate, however, complained of malfunctioning of the card- reader in the polling unit, saying the machine didn’t work for him, including two people before him.
His wife also confirmed that the card machine equally did not capture her thumb print.
Agbaje decried the development despite assurances from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He warned that the process could be subjected to human manipulation by some scrupulous officials.
Speaking on the general conduct of the exercise, the PDP governorship candidate, disclosed that there had been some issues already regarding the conduct of the exercise in Ikorodu and Eti- Osa area of the state.
He said in particular, an area in Eti-Osa where 500 ballots were supposed to be made available, only 400 were made available.
He said he is confident that the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, would emerge victorious.
“I am more confident than before that he (Atiku) will win today’s presidential election because we have the votes on our side, the number is also on our side,” he said.
