Sen. Abdullahi Adamu (APC-Nasarawa West) on Saturday cast his vote at about 10. 09 a.m.
Adamu, who is seeking third term re-election into the Senate, cast his vote at the GRA A1 Polling Unit of Angwan Rimi ward in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The lawmaker also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for the peaceful conduct of the exercise so far.
“From what I have seen so far, INEC has done some homework. I have not gotten reports from other parts of my constituency, which is Nasarawa West senatorial district.
“From what I have seen, it is okay but it is too early and I will keep on waiting to get reports from other parts of the constituency,” he said.
Adamu also expressed happiness over the massive turnout of voters and their peaceful conduct.
“The turnout is impressive and okay,” he said.
Adamu, who commended the voters for their peaceful conduct, expressed optimism that the process would continue to enjoy peaceful atmosphere.
“The atmosphere is generally calm and I am happy with that,” he said. (NAN)
