The All Progrssives Congress, APC, Presidential candidate President Muhammadu Buhari has polled the highest number of votes in the Presidential election held in Sokoto.
The result of the election, declared by the state collation officer, Professor Muhammad Yahuza, showed that APC scored 490,333 votes while PDP had 361,604 votes.
Out of the 23 local government areas of Sokoto, APC won in 19 while PDP was top in 4.
