The incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC), convincingly won the Kwara State in last Saturday’s Presidential elections with 308,984 votes, leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trailing with 138,184 votes.
The Collation officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUTMinna), Prof. Abdullahi Bala said that there were cancellation at four polling units due to non usage of smart card readers and over voting.
He put the total number of registered voters at 1,401 895; accredited voters at 489,482; total votes cast at 486,254; total valid votes at 459,676, and rejected votes at 26,578.
