Secretary of the federation, Segun Oguntade, disclosed to Grassroots Sports that the tourney will take place between August 20 and 23.
Oguntade said the event will be used by the federation to prepare its players for the Commonwealth Games slated for New Delhi, India, in October.
According to the scribe, Cameroon has organised the tourney with a view to test-running her facilities put in place for the forthcoming Africa Senior Championship.
According to Oguntade, the tourney will give the Nigeria home-based players and others invited for the second phase of camping for the Commonwealth Games the opportunity to showcase their talents.
He said the 16 players invited for the second phase of the camping exercise will converge in Ibadan today for preparation for the Cameroon tourney.
”We have invited 16 players for the second phase of camping beginning on August 1.
“The invited 16 players, both foreign and home-based will assembly in Ibadan. Among them, the federation will select players that will take part in the Cameroon tourney,” Oguntade said.
