Nigeria recorded 21 coronavirus-related deaths between Friday and Saturday, a report from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has shown.
It revealed that by Friday, 2,993 deaths had so far been recorded from the virus in the country; and by Saturday, the total number of deaths had risen to 3,014 cases.

The report said of the 21 deaths, four were recorded in Kaduna State; and 16, in Imo State.
It said as of December 25, the country had recorded 236, 014 confirmed cases so far, with 212 , 357 cases discharged.
The NCDC had last week said Nigeria had recorded a 500 percent increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases over the past two weeks as a result of the Delta and Omicron variants.
The NCDC had said the country was experiencing a fourth wave of the pandemic.
