The Federal Government is to improve relationship with India on space research, peaceful use of atomic energy and biotechnology, for the mutual benefits of both countries.
The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, said this when the High Commissioner of India to Nigeria, His Excellency Abhay Thakur, paid a courtesy call on him in Abuja yesterday.
Dr Onu said Nigeria is building a knowledge society which is innovatively driven “so that we use our knowledge to convert our products into goods and services we need.’’
Earlier, the High Commissioner of India to Nigeria, Abhay Thakur said India is looking forward for cooperation on skills development, peaceful application of space technology in agriculture, atomic energy and innovation in many areas of agriculture.
