The Nigeria Senior Male team, the Yellow Greens yesterday defeated their Kenyan counterparts in the ongoing Kenya/Nigeria bilaterial series in Nairobi.
This win comes on the backdrop of two early defeats to the home side as both teams look to engage in a seven-match series comprising of five T20Is and two ODIs.
The game played at the Sikh Union Club saw Nigeria win the toss and opted to field first in the third T20I game.
Nigeria’s Vincent Adewoye was instrumental to the team’s success with the bat and ball.

Adewoye’s 41 (18) including three fours and three sixes with a strike rate of 227.78 as well his bowling statistics of 2/12 in 2.0 overs, at an economy of 6.00 secured the first win for the side in the series.
Another performer for the Nigerian side was Elijah Olaleye 30 (37) with the bat in hand, helping the visitors secure 150/7 in 19.2 overs compared to Kenya’s 149/7 in 20 overs.
Nigeria won by three wickets as both teams will meet again today for the fourth T20I match at the same venue.
It will be noted that on Friday Kenya secured a decisive victory over Nigeria in the opening match of the T20I series, highlighted by Sachin Bhudia’s standout performance.
The hosts set a challenging target of 159 for 6, anchored by Bhudia’s notable innings of 50 runs.
