The Commissioner of Police in Niger State, Ogundele J. Ayodeji, has visited Lambata, Gurara LGA, over the killing of the village head, Alhaji Mohammed Abdulsafur, in his residence Saturday afternoon.
The CP, while condoling with the deceased’s family, assured them that the perpetrators of the act would be apprehended and made to face the consequences of their actions.
He admonished the family against any form of revenge and to allow the criminal justice system to take its course in ensuring that justice prevailed.
The commissioner also visited Kafin-Koro in Paikoro LGA, where the priest of the Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Isaac Achi, was burnt to death in his residence on Sunday by bandits.

The attackers set the house ablaze when they could not gain access and burnt the religious leader to death.
A colleague of the Rev. Father identified as Father Collins, was also shot in the shoulder while trying to escape from the scene.
The CP noted that police tactical teams engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel, and as a result, the bandits fled from the scene.
