Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State and the member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Constituency in the House of Representatives, Saidu Musa Abdul, have congratulated the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, on his 70th birthday and his 19 years anniversary as the 13th Etsu Nupe.

The governor, in a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Mary Noel-Berje, described the monarch as a true, loving, courageous and a peaceful leader who is reckoned with in the state, Nigeria and beyond.

Bello said the 19 years reign of the traditional ruler had impacted positively on his subjects, having instilled in them patriotism and understanding  through his bridge-building skills, wide-spread consultations and reach, and  promotion of cultural values of the Nupe.

Similarly, Abdul in a statement through his Senior Legislative Aide, Dodo Almustapha, said the Etsu Nupe had displayed uncommon ingenuity, forthrightness and kindness in the discharge of his royal responsibilities. 

Also, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Niger State Council, in a congratulatory message issued by its secretary, Usman Chiji, said the Etsu Nupe’s reign has brought monumental growth and development, especially, in the areas of education, agriculture, health, culture as well as tolerance and understanding among the people of the Nupe Kingdom.
