The Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Tony Ojukwu, on Wednesday urged the Federal Government to protect schools from attacks.
He made the call in Abuja at a pre-event for the forthcoming 4th International Conference on Safe Schools Declaration.

He said attacks on schools, especially killing and abductions of students, would affect education negatively.
He said the conference, which would be held for the first time in Nigeria, would critically look at the effects of insecurity on education and chat ways to make education better for the Nigerian child.
