The Acting Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Tony Ojukwu has sought collaboration with all relevant stakeholders in the validation of the Commision’s service charter for effective service delivery.
Speaking through a management staff of the Commission, Mrs Ngozi Okorie a at sensitization programme and validation of the NHRC service charter held in Abuja today, he said there was a nexus between the NHRC and SERVICOM (Service charter), as both gears towards the improvement in service delivery in the country.
According to him, the Service charter of the Commission will define its role as a hum rights institution, show its commitment in carrying out its statutory functions as well as provide information on how its services can be accessed with time line.
On her part, national coordinator, SERVICOM, Mrs Nnena Akajemeni noted that the public had high expectations from the Rights Commission in the area of service delivery.
She urged staff of the Commission to work towards satisfying the desires of Nigerians to enable them enjoy their rights, without any molestation from any body of institution.
"We should build a commission where human rights are upheld and Nigerians get quality service delivery", she said.
