A Non-Governmental Organisation, Mukaddas Anas Foundation, has trained 23 female and male youths on various skills including auto-mechanics, masonry, soap making, welding and home decoration in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The beneficiaries were given business tools for take-off during their graduation ceremony held at the local government secretariat in an event chaired by a former General Manager, Katsina Radio Service, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi.
Abdullahi while lauding the effort of the foundation, charged the trainees to use the tools diligently and called on wealthy individuals to emulate the gesture and complement the efforts in making the youth to be self-reliant.
In his remarks, the District Head of Musawa, Alhaji Sagir Abdullahi Inde, expressed satisfaction with the activities of the foundation and called on wealthy individuals to emulate same for the rapid progress and development of the area.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the foundation, Alhaji Nasir Anas, revealed that the foundation was established to contribute to societal development through the provision of job opportunities and to reduce unemployment amongst teeming youths.
He pointed out that careful selection and consultations were made for the three-month training adding that the programme would be expanded to benefit more people across the state.
