NGO targets job creation for 50,000 in 2023

A non-governmental organisation, The Tijjaniyya Grassroots Mobilisation and Empowerment Initiative (TIGMEIN), has said its target is to create over 50,000 job opportunities for its members and others in 2023.

The lead spokesperson and Board of Trustees chairman of the group, Dr Umar Alhaji Ibrahim Pandogari, disclosed this during the national stakeholders meeting of state coordinators, secretaries and state Amirah in Abuja.

At the  meeting, it was resolved that the empowerment activities and skills acquisition training for over 50,000 participants would be carried out in Kaduna, Gombe, Osun and Rivers states in areas of production to stimulate economic activities across the zones..

He said the purpose of the stakeholders meeting was to map out strategies for better engagement and re-emphasise the need for the unity of Tijjaniyya and the Muslim Ummah.

Pandogari encouraged members to be self-reliant as they raise funds to embark on the all important course of creating job opportunities for members and other people in the society. 

The primary focus of the TIGMEIN is to trigger sustainable grassroots development of Tijjaniyya adherents and sympathizers, individuals and groups, as well as the country in general through unity and empowerment.
